The organ is regionally significant and renown for its young age. Ned Lyons gave the 2006 Jaeckel in loving memory of his mother, Anna Fisher Ingels-Lyons Houston. The organ is one of 5 organs featured in the CD to be released this spring, "A Kentucky Organ Tour," recorded by Schuyler Robinson, professor of music at UK. It is only 1 of 2 located in a church, the other 3 are at UK. The organ has 15 stops and has a variety of color associated with the best church organs of England and France. The organ is rare - it was made in Minnesota and is #50 out of 55 ever constructed. |
